The Registered Bass 12" In-Floor Subwoofer is designed to mount in standard frame construction floors. With proper preparation it may also be mounted in ceilings. The revolutionary and space saving design allows the enclosure to be installed from above the floor (or below the
ceiling). Once the wire is in place, installation is easily accomplished from within the living space, not under the floor or above the ceiling.

Use a standard size 6" x 14" register vent (diffuser) to cover/trim the flange opening.

No diffuser is included with the unit.

Choose a standard size diffuser to match the other forcedair system diffusers in the house. Choose a diffuser that is tightly constructed. Some of the best diffusers are very rigid however contain adjustable louvers. If you chose a diffuser with adjustable louvers make certain that these louvers can be removed otherwise they will resonate.

Foam stripping is included for placement between the mounting flange and the diffuser for a positive fit.

Because the unit's widest dimension is only 14 1/4" it can be positioned either way between 16" on-center members to match your room layout regardless of which direction the floor joists run (see Top View illustration).
